Not this year, but . . .

Squash Republic still plans on celebrating our 10th anniversary but it won’t be in 2024 unfortunately. We are posting this notice because we understand that there is a tournament happening in Summerland at the Lakeshore Squash Club this year and we’ve had a few people sign up thinking it was a Squash Republic event. Just wanted to make sure they knew what the deal was. Thanks!

What is SquashFEST?

The SquashFEST squash tournament is an annual non-ranking squash event run by the good folks at Squash Republic. This summer event has been sanctioned by Squash BC since the beginning and it has been held annually in Summerland, British Columbia on the shores of Lake Okanagan at the Lakeshore Squash Club since 2011. We took over the after Cameron Fishenden, who had started “Winter in July” out of the same club, passed the squash racquet over to us. Brooke Siver of Manta World Sport joined us as our first official sponsor right out of the gate, and the rest is history.

The last time we held SquashFEST was in 2019 and it was a classic! We had 56 players camping, pot-lucking, swimming and playing squash and dingles like we always do!

2020 was going to be our 10th anniversary and we were really looking forward to a really big celebration. But then COVID happened and we cancelled the event and waited for things to get back to normal.

Stay tuned SquashFEST peeps!
