Let us tell you a little bit about us. Squash Republic is a proudly Canadian company based in Vancouver, British Columbia. We are a graphic design studio and online retailer of original squash clothing and we also sell Manta squash racquets. Since 1999, we have worked on design projects with associations such as the PSA, NY:Squash and Squash Canada and we have created logos and posters for events and associations around the world and have hosted and sponsored numerous local and national events.

A little background about us.

About us: Robert Pacey as a junior.
Robert Pacey at Evergreen Squash Club circa 1981.

The company was started in 1999 by Robert Pacey, a graphic designer, who had just come back to the game of squash after a eighteen year hiatus. Upon his return he quickly noticed a lack of squash-specific clothing. What he did find wasn’t made locally and didn’t really appeal to his love of the game. This led him to design his own clothing line and to produce it in Vancouver. Squash Republic is supported by a vibrant squash community in Vancouver.

Robert first became a director of the The Vancouver Squash League in 2000. In 2008 he took over the position of League Coordinator, a position he held until 2019.  Robert was also  a long time board member of the 2020 Fund which was a group whose mandate was to help protect the future of squash in British Columbia.

Robert was honoured to represent British Columbia in the 2012 Canadian Masters Provincial Team Championships in Gatineau and to participate and help coordinate, with Steve Lawton, the 2013 Canadian Masters Provincial Team Championships in Vancouver.

In 2009/2010 Robert was the recipient of Squash BC’s “President’s Plate“. This trophy is awarded to the best supporter of the game of squash. The Squash BC website describes the award this way: “Over the years any recipient of one or more of these prestigious awards truly deserves to be there. Most of us will never be in this group. However, if we are involved with squash on any level – playing, coaching, volunteering – it is surely something admirable for which to strive.”

In 2010 Robert was invited to join the Jesters, a group that is actively involved with promoting junior squash, and university play, and he has been an active member of the BC nest since. He currently manages their website and sits on the nomination committee.

The first T-SHIRT (“SCRU Squash, Lets Hug”) is still available and the collection has grown to over twenty designs for men and women. Our new line of Canadian-made technical fibre, or “Dry Fit” comes in a variety of styles and colours.
