2018 Guilfoyle Financial Squash Tournament

SQUASH REPUBLIC is pleased to announce that they have been hired to create the logo and poster for the upcoming 2018 Guilfoyle Financial Squash Tournament to be held at the Toronto Cricket Skating & Curling Club.

The TCSCC is a private sport and social club located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada that was founded in 1827. The Club offers a variety of sporting and social programs including aquatics, cricket, croquet, curling, fitness classes, lawn bowling, figure skating, squash and tennis. The Club also provides additional services including daycare, children’s camps, health services, and social events for adults and children.

The Guilfoyle Financial Squash Tournament is a PSA World Tour “M5” event and offers $5,000 USD as prize money. The Professional Squash Association (PSA) is the global governing body responsible for the administration of both men’s and women’s professional squash around the world. With over 750 registered players and more than 200 events taking place around the globe every year, the PSA World Tour – managed and run by the PSA – showcases the game of squash at its highest level in some of the world’s most unique and stunning locations. Encapsulating all that is good about top flight professional squash and combining athleticism, skill, fitness, tenacity, power, drama and above all else, passion, the PSA World Tour is the pinnacle of world squash.

In the 2017 edition, Argentina’s World No.93 Leandro Romiglio captured his first PSA World Tour title of 2017. Romiglio, the 26-year-old from Mar del Plata, was aiming to lift his first Tour title outside of his native country since April 2016. He eased through to the final after dispatching Joshua Hollings, Kale Wilson and David Baillargeon without dropping a game. His dominance continued into the final as a composed performance saw him take out World No.87 Geoffrey Demont in straight games to pick up his fourth PSA World Tour title.
